Privacy Policy

The VoxType Chrome Extension is part of the VoxType family of products. This privacy policy applies specifically to the Chrome Extension. Your words are yours—we never read, store, or sell what you type.

Unlike other browser extensions that monetize your data, VoxType operates on a simple principle: we make money from subscriptions, not from selling your information. This means we have zero incentive to collect or store your personal data.

• We never store what you type – Your messages, emails, passwords, and text remain completely private
• We don't track your browsing history – We have no idea what websites you visit
• We don't track your keystrokes – No logging of individual key presses or typing patterns
• We don't sell any data to third parties – Ever, period. No exceptions.
• We don't build behavioral profiles – No tracking your habits, interests, or preferences
• We don't use your data for AI training – Your text is never used to train any AI models

Cloud Mode: When you use voice typing, your audio is sent to our secure speech recognition service via encrypted TLS connection. Audio is processed in real-time, transcribed, and immediately discarded within milliseconds. No recordings are stored on any server—ever.

How it works: Click the mic button → Audio streams to server → Transcribed text returns → Audio deleted instantly.

AI Shortcuts (Polish, Rewrite, etc.): When you use AI features, your selected text is sent to our secure AI processing service. Text is processed, results delivered, and the original text is immediately discarded. Nothing is stored, logged, or used for AI training.

VoxGenie AI: Conversations with VoxGenie are processed in real-time and not stored on our servers. Your chat history is stored locally in your browser's storage and can be cleared at any time.

The VoxType Chrome Extension requests only the permissions necessary to function:

• activeTab – To detect text input fields on the current page
• storage – To save your preferences locally in Chrome
• microphone – To capture voice input when you click the mic button (only when actively recording)
• sidePanel – To display VoxGenie AI assistant

We do NOT request permissions to read your browsing history, access all your data, or run in the background when not in use.

If you sign in to sync your subscription, we store:

• Email address – For account login and subscription verification
• Subscription status – To manage your Free, Pro, or Pro+ plan
• Usage counts – Voice minutes and AI enhancements used (for fair usage tracking)

This data is shared across all VoxType products (Keyboard, Chrome Extension, Desktop, VoxPM) when you sign in with the same account.

You can request complete deletion of your account data at any time by emailing support@voxtypekey.com. We comply within 24 hours—no questions asked. Uninstalling the extension automatically removes all locally stored data.
