Fair Usage Policy

We want to provide great service to everyone—from occasional users to power users. This policy ensures that everyone gets a fast, reliable experience. It's not about limiting you; it's about making sure a few users can't degrade the service for everyone else.

Our free plan includes generous limits for personal use:

These limits apply across all VoxType products combined. If you use 10 voice minutes on Android and 5 on Chrome Extension, you've used your full 15 minutes.

For Pro and Pro+ subscribers, "unlimited" means you'll never hit a wall during normal use. Here's what that looks like:

In practice: A user who dictates 10 hours of content daily, runs 500 AI enhancements, and has 200 VoxGenie conversations would still be within normal use. We've designed our systems to handle this and more.

We only take action against genuine abuse that threatens service quality for others:

• Automated scripts/bots: Using automated tools to make thousands of API calls
• Account sharing: Running a business with dozens of employees on one personal account
• API abuse: Attempting to use our services for commercial API access
• Reselling: Offering VoxType as part of your own product without permission
• Intentional overload: Making requests designed to stress our systems

We're reasonable: If you're a human using VoxType for your own work—even if you're a super-heavy user—you're fine. We only act on clear abuse patterns.

VoxPM Meeting Intelligence has additional guidelines:

• Audio uploads: Reasonable meeting recordings (no limit on count, but files up to 500MB)
• Processing: AI transcription and summarization processed in queue order
• Storage: Original audio deleted after processing (only transcript/summary retained)
• Retention: Meeting summaries retained for 12 months (downloadable anytime)

Your subscription works across all VoxType products. Usage is tracked per-platform for analytics, but limits (for free plans) are pooled. This means you can use your 15 free voice minutes however you want—all on Chrome, split between Android and Desktop, etc.

For Free Users:

• You'll see a friendly upgrade prompt when you reach limits
• You can continue using basic features
• Limits reset automatically on the 1st of each month

For Paid Users (genuine abuse only):

• We'll reach out via email first to understand your use case
• In most cases, we'll work with you to find a solution
• For genuine bad actors: temporary suspension, then account review

We don't surprise-bill you: Unlike some services, we'll never automatically charge you more for exceeding limits. We'd rather talk to you first.
